Dachshund, Border Collie [Mix]

Now that you see my face and my eyes can make contact with you, you'll understand why I was so very sad. I'm named Aerosmith after their song, "Crying since you left me, crying to forget you....."

I'm told my mommy is a border collie and my daddy is a dachshund. I really look more like my daddy. No one even sees the border collie in me but thought you should know that.

I was about to be one of the happiest puppy's ever. I was brought to a local Petco to meet my new family. Awhhhhhh, the son the held me so close to his heart our heartbeats met and I was in love. He was too! I wagged my little tail and thought to myself....I'm saved...I have a home to grow up in. As we were becoming best friends and bonding I heard his dad say something to his older brother. Then the dad went outside to use his cell phone.

I was just so happy to be held and loved on. It was a dream come true. Then all of a sudden dad came back inside and told the little boy to give me back to the lady. He said they couldn't have two dogs inside the house....whatever that means. I don't think I was pretty enough for him, or maybe I'm not a full-blooded little dachshund.

I was so happy for that moment and to see the little boy almost in tears made me almost cry. My dream of a home just didn't happen. But the good news is I am in a foster home now and will get all my medical taken care of and I'll be neutered. Could you offer me a home so my dream will come true?

I am only 11 weeks old, neutered, have my first puppy vaccine, frontlined and wormed. Scheduled for neuter at a later date.

Come and meet me at the Petco in Collierville Saturday, Oct. 24 from 1-4 p.m. If you can't adopt another pet at this time, maybe you could bring me a new toy to play with.

Save 1 Pet is a 501 C 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless aniamls. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes and foster the animals until they can find a forever home.

Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs is $95 which includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccines, worming and heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verifications.

When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract.
