More About CISSY

Cissy is a very special kitty in more than the usual ways. Cissy is a female short-haired black & white Tuxedo with a black button-tip nose. She is estimated at 1 – 1 1/2 years of age (9/25/09). Now hear her story: Cissy was rescued from the Meadowbrook area of Louisa and brought to the shelter along with her three kittens when the babies were only about 3 - 4 weeks old. She was so loving and attentive to her babies. Then just as she was weaning her babies, a litter of 2 or 3 more kittens were brought in without their mother! These little darlings were only a couple of weeks old and would require bottle feeding and lots of human attention if something else couldn't be arranged. The shelter staff decided to see if Cissy would accept these new babies since she still had milk from having just weaned her own. Without skipping a beat, Cissy accepted her new little charges and raised them as if they were her own. What a great little mommy she has been! Now that her "foster babies" are weaned, this precious little mommy deserves to find her own "family" to love her and give her a forever home. She is a very affectionate girl and loves to be petted---wouldn't you after raising all those kittens? Are you that special human who can give this extraordinary kitty the quiet, loving forever home she deserves? The shelter is very crowded right now with adult cats, nursing moms and kittens so there is no better time to find a new feline friend! Cissy is litter box trained and will be spayed, vaccinated, dewormed prior to leaving the shelter. Her adoption fee is $40 to pay for her spay, vaccinations, dewormings. To find out more about Cissy, please call the shelter between 9-3 Mon-Thurs, 9-4 Fri at (606) 673-4509 or after hours/weekends, call Kim Perry at (606) 638-0512 or email potterperry41230@yahoo.com. Call for a quicker response.

CISSY is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
