Odie

Black Labrador Retriever [Mix]

Large Young Male Dog

More About Odie

Odie is a 2 year old black lab mix that has spent most of his life in a shelter. He spent his early puppyhood behind bars and then his adolescence slipped away before a kind woman adopted this high energy boy and gave him a chance at a good life. Unfortunately the fates were not kind to her and she became ill and lost her job and then her home and she had to move into an apartment that did not allow dogs over 40 lbs. so back to the shelter he went. GRAPE sprung Odie from the big house in the hopes that his luck would be better here. Odie is a big, lovable boy that loves to be hugged and he loves to cuddle in bed. He is house broken, neutered and up to date with all of his shots. Odie would definitely benefit from obedience training as he is very high energy and has never been worked with before. Odie gets along great with other dogs, but he might prefer to get all of the love and attention for himself. Odie chases cats, but hasn't tried to hurt them. Odie would need a physical fence because he does like to chase cats, squirrels, rabbits, etc. He is a very sweet boy, but he is so high energy that he might knock a young child down so he would probably do best in a home without young children. Odie is being fostered in Bear, DE. If you like a high energy labrador retriever, Odie is the dog for you. Please check him out.
Home without cats preferred

Odie is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
