More About Simon

Simon is a cute little mixed breed pup, born approximately July 3rd. He is a brindle color and weighs about 20-25 pounds. He is a very sweet little guy who gives kisses and loves laying on the couch in the evenings to watch TV. He will fall asleep in your arms.

He is a calm puppy with people, but really gets going when playing with other dogs. He would love to have a fenced yard and another playful dog to play with. He will probably chase cats, not sure, because he has never been around them. Simon is crate trained and housetrained and he knows sit and paw. He is very good having his nails clipped and is ok handling any part of his body. He loves to go for rides in the car (inside a crate) and walks well on a leash, doesn't pull at all.

Simon has an underbite that makes his bottom teeth stick out a bit – very cute! That, plus the shape of his head and his earset, make us think that he has some pug in him. Actually, we got the idea from a veterinarian who examined Simon's recently adopted brother, Cody... he said that he thought Cody was a pug mix.

Simon will be your little buddy & follow you everywhere, but be advised that he has been spoiled in his foster home & will expect to be allowed to jump up on your couch & probably your bed too. He goes into his crate around 10pm, sleeps right thru the night, and welcomes you in the morning with a big yawn & a long, luxurious stretch.

Simon is neutered and up to date on all shots and healthcare. He is on Frontline to prevent fleas & ticks, and on Heartworm meds to prevent worms.

He can be seen on Thursdays from 9:30 to 2pm at our headquarters at 829 Ole Turnpike Drive in Bedford.
