More About Angus

My name is Angus. I am a pretty calm, young boy who also likes to play. I really love to run and run in my foster family's big back yard with my foster brothers. Look out squirrels! I look like a small black lab with short legs -- everyone says I am VERY cute! Two and a half years ago, I came into the world when I was born in a DREAM foster home. My mom was rescued from animal control just a week from giving birth. I was adopted as a baby by a very nice man. He loved me a lot but he died a couple of months ago and I came back to DREAM. Now I am looking for my new forever home. I have a happy disposition and a waggy tail. I weigh about 30 pounds, not too small, but not too big for cuddling with you on the couch either. I am very healthy and shiny. Whenever I want something, I give kisses. That seems to work every time! I am house trained and know how to use a doggy door. I come running lickety split when I am called and know how to sit, wait, touch, and shake a paw. My foster Mom is helping to learn to wait my turn at the door and I've almost got that one down pat too. My foster Mom says that I am a little too interested in the cat that lives here. I really don't want to hurt him, but I do love to chase him and I'll pester him to make him run so that I can give chase. Maybe I am a bit too rough for the cat but I am trying to be nicer. I play really well with other dogs though. If they are big dogs I can be rough and tumble, but if they are smaller dogs I know how to play gently. If you are interested in me, please complete the online adoption application at www.dreamrescue.org/Adopt. My adoption fee is $180, and that includes my shots and my neuter. I will make you very happy, I promise. DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta/North Georgia area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of the metro-Atlanta area. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachsies' back. If you are interested in adopting sweet Angus, you can fill out an application right at our website! Go to www.dreamrescue.org/Adopt. Then click on Our Online Application. Angus's adoption fee is $180. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Angus will go to his/her new home microchipped, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm tested. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees. You can also see DREAM's blog, The Rescue Life, at www.dreamdachshundrescue.wordpress.com, and follow us on twitter.

Angus is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
