More About Lizzy

UPDATE 11/2/09: Lizzy is doing well. We have switched her to regular adult dry food to make sure she does not need to stay on a prescription diet and so far so good. Lizzy is a very curious and inquisitive girl. She is exploring everything and is scared of nothing. Lizzy gets along great with all people, cats, and dogs. She is going to make a great addition to a wonderful family. UPDATE 10/19/09: Miss Lizzy had her spay surgery and surgery to correct her prolapsed rectum last Monday (1 week ago) and she is doing terrific. We have updated her pictures and although her booty is now naked (needed to be shaved for the surgery) it is no longer sticking out. She is a happy girl and is busy playing and eating and ready for her new home. Although the surgery was a success and we expect her hair to grow back and for her to live a long and normal life, there is no way to be sure that there won't be future problems. We would like for Lizzy to go to someone who has experience with manx cats or someone who is understanding of the possible future responsibilities. This is a very sweet and playful and loving girl who we felt deserved a chance at a normal life. If you are interested in adopting Miss Lizzy, please e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com POSTED 9/15/09: Lizzy is a 7 month old gray and white female manx kitten. She weighs about 5 lbs and has not tail...not even a nub. Lizzy is very sweet and loving but she has a little problem. She has a prolapsed rectum. Lizzy is at the vet to find out if this is fixable or not. She seems fine and is a very happy girl. She is loving and very playful. Lizzy is eating, drinking, and using her litter box normally. She just has a little pink monkey butt. The hasn't spayed her yet because of this problem but hopes to spay her in the near future. She is leukemia tested negative and free of parasites. Lizzy will get her microchip when she is spayed and all of our cats are vaccinated prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting or fostering Lizzy, please e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for more information and an adoption form.
