More About Garrett

I heard that you were looking for someone who is outgoing, fun and a barrel of laughs. Well, look no further, cause here I am! By the way my name is Garrett and I'm a black and white Dachshund mix who was born at the end of June 2009. My foster mom says I'm her little "Mickey Mouse" due to the shape of the spots on my side and all of the freckles that I have all over my body. I'm the biggest boy in my family but I should only get somewhere around 15 to 20 pounds when I'm all grown up.

I currently live in a foster home with my brother and two sisters. I'm a combination of "rough & tough" and "sweet & smart" all rolled up into one package, but don't let me fool you...I AM ALL PUPPY! I love to play with my siblings and my foster parents. My favorite toy is my braided rope - my siblings and I all get a piece of it and then we all try to go in different directions. I love to be outside, enjoying the fresh air with my foster mom. All of us love to be where our "human" is.

I'm very smart for my age as I will let you know when I have to go potty most of the time, so when I get into my new forever home, it should be easy for us to work on a spot for me to use as the bathroom. I'm going to school to learn how to walk in a training harness and leash, and I'm making great progress!

So, if I sound like your kind of guy, let's meet and maybe you'll be my new forever home!

****My adoption fee is $295; includes neuter surgery and all other medical care.****

The SPCA spays or neuters all of it's animals. Adult dogs are heartworm tested and Frontline and Interceptor are given monthly while in the SPCA's care. Heartworm positive dogs are treated. Included in our fees are: All DHLPP shots (puppies are given a series of shots up to 16-20 weeks of age), a Bordetella Nasal unless the animal has the Bordetella injection (then it is two shots), a Rabies shot (puppies at 12 weeks), at least one fecal test to check for parasites, and two generalized wormings. Medicine is given when necessary.

Garrett is spayed/neutered.
