More About Ethel

Ethal
Age: 10+
Weight: 11lbs
Available: NOW

UPDATE: 10/20/09
Ethal was a tthe vet today to have her tumors removed and sent off to the lab for a biopsy.  However after a thorough exam and Xrays, we discovered that Ethal does in fact have cancer which has spread to her lungs.  Therefore surgery was ruled out as a possibility.  Ethal is healthy (other then having cancer) and her lungs and heart sound great.  She can be kept comfortable and live a fullfilling life while the cancer isn't changing her health status or quality of living.

Ethal will remain with the Crue unless a special person or family comes along that will spoil her and let her retire with them.

ETHAL's STORY:
Ethal was abandoned in front of one of our volunteer's home.  She is a sweet old girl.  She is deaf and has a mass on her mammory gland that the vet says is inoperable due to her age.  She is a happy girl and gets along fine with all our other dogs.  Ethal loves her cozy cup to nap in (and we will send it with her to her forever/retirement home.)  She also loves to sleep in the bed, under the covers.  She is deaf and likes to burrow under covers or dog beds (which can be dangerous because if your arent carefull you can smoosh her.)

Ethal is a loving older girl who needs a home to retire in.  She is house trained (but does need to go out a bit more often than our younger foster dogs).  She is in fairly good health for being 150yrs old (in doggie age) and would love a calm adult only home to live out her golden years.  Even though your time with Ethal may be short, this sweet girl will touch your soul and leave paw prints on your heart.

Ethal's adoption fee is $75 to cover some of her vetting, blood work and vaccines.

(The adoption fee is designed to cover the cost of getting our rescues up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested, heartworm treated-if needed, spayed/neutered, all other injuries/illnesses treated, monthlty heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, food, etc).

The adoption fee includes:
Spay/neuter-from $98-$245 value
All shots/deworming/fecal-$144(Kittens)$177(puppies)value
Rabies shot (and tag for puppies/dogs)-$16 value
Heartworm test-4DX(Dogs)-$22.50 value
FeLV/FIV test(cats)-$34 value
Adoption kit-$20 value
Training DVD(Dogs)-$29 value
Collar with ID tag(Dogs)-$10 value
Aproximately $200 in money saving coupons!!
That is a value of $300 (cats)-$500 (dogs) total!!!
(Vetting costs are based on regular, full price charges at BAH.)

All of our pets are cared for by the fabulous staff at Berclair Animal Hospital and
Snowden Grove Animal Hospital. We are forever in debt to them (literally and figuratively). They do a wonderful job helping us and they truly love the work they do. Thanks guys!!

100% of all adoption fees and donations goes directly to our vet bills.
Even a few dollars can pay for a rabies shot ($10) or a heartworm test ($19.50).

The dogs would like to thank you in advance for you generosity!!

Due to the lack of qualified foster homes, we are unable to take in anymore dogs/puppies or cats/kittens at this time.
