More About Mekasch
Get ready and listen up! I'm not very big, but I am about to deliver a polemic. Vladimir Lenin and Che Guevara had nothing on Mekasch when it comes to militant, principled, revolutionary spirit. They may have started revolutions, but I am a walking, talking, all-rolled-up-in-one revolution of my very own. See that flag that says 'Don't Tread On Me'? That's my flag. And you'd better not tread.
Why is my lovely white-and-black fur all up in a dither? This is my story. I traveled a long, long way from my home planet to your Earth because I'd heard that I'd find here some humans who would love me, talk to me, appreciate me, respect me and even give me food. I wanted all those things and more. The best food available to a cat on my home planet was some lizardy type critters with pink scales and seven legs - and I had to soak them in brine for days before I could stand the taste. Not good.
So I came here with great hope. And I'll say this for planet Earth - no pink lizardy critters that I've seen. The food's pretty good. And I have a nice wood scratching stick that feels nice on my often arched back. But the humans I found left me, quite without ceremony, on Feline Rescue's doorstep. Sorry, but that's not love, appreciation, and respect. And after that long trip here, too. Worse, I can't find my saucer to go home. So I intend to be noticeable and a bit noisy here at Feline Rescue until I find those loving, talking, appreciating, feeding humans I came for. Would you, perchance, be them?
My polemic isn't about class warfare or some other big human-type grievance. It's about Mekasch working very hard to find her intended forever home, and she won't give up until she does. And you know what? For your $100, I will love, respect, and appreciate You in return. Isn't that simple and quite universal? Just, please, no pink lizardy critter in my food bowl. Thanks!
PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
