More About Sasie

I'm not just special. I am rare. You've always said, 'I'd love to have a nice orange tabby cat, but I prefer girl cats to boy cats.' Well, I surely don't blame you - we girls are smarter and more charming. Here's the chance of a lifetime: I am, indeed, an orange tabby cat - and I am nice. And I'm a girl! Look at this delicate, dear face - this is no guy from the alley. This is a young girl straight from Norman Rockwell, 1952. I give you a gentle love bite to say, 'Please buy me an ice cream cone or a malted.  And, please, oh, please, don't pull my tail!' You wouldn't!

A rare girl orange tabby I am - just asking to share her rare life with you, a rare human. I don't remember where I started life, but I think my mom was calico and daddy, don't you know, was orange - quite orange. I remember people, though. I remember that people know where the good cat food comes from, the kind that goes into a little bowl - not the kind that one has to toss around and behead before one can eat it. I'd rather toss kitty toys around, preferably sparkly green ones that compliment my golden tones.

When I remembered that people know how to open a cat food can, I thought I should find me some people. So I scooted up onto the porch of a people house somewhere out in a suburb and turned my delicate, dear face up and said, 'Feed me? Feed me?' And she did. Then we came here to find my rare people with whom I'll be living for a long, long time. Yes, you hear me purring, purring because I appreciate attention. But I don't want to be here; I want to be with you - wherever you live, that's where I want to go. You'll hear serious homebody purring from this girl then. How about it? Feed me? Love me? $100 and off we go. I'm Sasie, and I'm rare.

PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
