More About Yodel

Yodel is a handsome red purebred standard dachshund. He was picked up as a stray and was a bit on the skinny side, so he's been working on adding a little cushion. Yodel does well with children and adults, just like he's never met a stranger in his life. He's a confident and balanced sort of guy, and he likes both men and women. Yodel will need to be an only dog in the household as he was not socialized. He doesn't do well sharing his people with others. He is playful and full of life, and loves his TOYS!! His foster mom says he will play with a ball of yarn like a cat and watch her cook in the kitchen on his little bed. He likes to give her suggestions on what to make for him. He loves cuddling and belly rubs and going for long walks. He's not a big talker, but will chat when he sees critters outside the window, just like a good dachshund should. DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta/North Georgia area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of the metro-Atlanta area. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachsies' back. If you are interested in adopting Yodel, you can fill out an application right at our website! Go to www.dreamrescue.org/Adopt. Then click on Our Online Application. Yodel's adoption fee is $300. He will go to his new family microchipped, neutered, heartworm treated and up to date on all vaccinations. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees. You can also see DREAM's blog, The Rescue Life, at www.dreamdachshundrescue.wordpress.com, and follow us on twitter.
