Lady is a beautiful, athletic, and intelligent young girl who needs someone she can love and lavish her affections on. She is good with children and other dogs. Lady would probably make an excellent therapy dog as she has such a wonderful temperament. She appears to be housetrained, of course a refresher course may be needed when she goes to her forever home. Lady's foster mom tells us she loves to play ball and play in the water. She is about a year old, and was a little thin at 45 pounds when she first came into our program, She is slowly picking up weight and should be at her ideal weight soon. Lady is heartworm negative, spayed, and up to date on all vaccinations including bordatella to prevent kennel cough. She will need special, creative fencing to keep her contained in a fenced area as she is a little escape artist. Note: All applications are processed in the order received, but an adoption is made to the best application received for each of our animals. All applicants must provide a vet reference on the adoption application. If you are adopting a dog from ARFA, a fenced in yard for the dog will be required. Home visits often occur on each adoption. ARFA has the right to deny adoption to any applicant for any reason without explanation. Please remember that the adoption fee is not for purchase of a dog, but rather to cover the medical cost of all dogs in our care.
