More About Rita
Rita is a doll! I am so in love with this girl. She and her sister Deb are going to be large dogs, but not as big as a purebred Bloodhound. Rita is going to be phenomenal with kids, dogs, cats, anything you throw at her! Read her story ...
"Well my roommate and I were out in the middle of NO WHERE trying to find these cliffs that everyone jumps off of into a lake. We were driving down a dirt road when Deb ran across the road limping. We immediately pulled over and followed her into some bushes on the side of the road. When we looked in the thorn bushes we saw Rita (who at the time we thought was the one from the road) Within several minutes we realized there were two. It took us about 45 minutes to get them out of the bushes 1. Because we were scared..... Hahah and 2. Because they were living in a ditch covered with thorn bushes and we had to pry them out. When we finally got them in the car we realized how bad they were. Because we are poor college students we didn’t know what to do and it was a Sunday afternoon so our options were very limiting. My roommate called the Humane Society flea market hoping they might be of some help. After telling a lady the story (and having her in tears) she called the head person of the Humane Society and had them approve the cost for the Emergipet visit. Later, we got in contact with ARL after we heard about them from friend of ours. ARL took Deb and Rita in and finished their treatments and now they are healthy! Just goes to show people do actually care :)
