More About Wally

Wally is a very handsome young man. He also is not a dog to hold a grudge. If any dog had the right to hold a grudge against humans, Wally would be the one. Wally's previous "owner" never gave Wally heartworm preventative, so Wally is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. Also, Wally's rear leg was horrifically broken up to the hip and his owner never took him in for treatment! Wally's rear leg had to be amputated (if you look in the picture, you can see the sutures) and has healed perfectly. Wally has NO problem getting around. He was running around playing with the other little dogs today. Now that he has gotten his strength back after his surgery, we will be starting heartworm treatment soon. We'd love to get Wally's home reserved soon though so that he knows he has a bone waiting for him!

Love the dog, but now is not the time to adopt? Sponsor a Pet! You would be amazed at how much you can accomplish for just a few dollars. Click the “Sponsor Me" button above and:

Donate $5.00 and provide a toy for the dog that won your heart,

Donate $15.00 to feed a dog for the next month,

Donate $25.00 to fully vaccinate a dog for an entire year,

Donate $100.00 for minimum initial vet care for a healthy rescue dog.

Or, donate as much or as little as you can. As a no-kill organization, we do whatever it takes for our animals. Whether a rescued dog is heartworm positive, has mange, needs surgery or simply takes extra time to become socialized and ready for a new home, we invest in the love that we know these dogs have to give. Your donation will make a difference in a dog’s life!

This beautiful animal, along with many others, is available for adoption from Animal Rescue League of Northwest Georgia. Please call Judy Lawson at 678-848-1889 for more information.

Wally is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
