More About TY - Referral

This is a courtesy referral posting. Any adoption of a dog listed as a referral is solely transacted between the custodian of the dog and the potential adopter. Austin Aussie Rescue does not warrant any claims about any dog listed as available for adoption as a referral.

TY (appx. 3 years old; 53 lb.) 09-08-13

Ty is a black-tri Aussie mix with a full, fluffy tail. He was adopted earlier this year, but his adopter has had a change that involves extensive travel and he'd be left alone too much. He is a wonderful dog; good with other dogs, kids, and strangers. He loves people and children. He is good with horses. He’s not so good with cats (he chases them if they run) but could likely learn to leave them alone. He loves to chase squirrels, too.

Ty has a beautiful stride and would be a great "running pawtner." He'd probably be great at agility, as he can clear a 5 ft. fence in a single bound! He jumps the fence to go looking for his person, and having another dog in the yard does not seem to make a difference. Ty cannot be left without supervision in a fenced yard.

He is very well-mannered in the house, and is used to being an indoor dog. He is crate-trained, too! He'd do well with someone who lives in an apartment or condo, and has an active lifestyle. He'd love to be a companion for someone who could take him to work, or wherever they go. We also think he'd make a great therapy or special needs dog.

Ty has been to Triple Crown Academy for basic obedience training. He is neutered, microchipped, and is up-to-date on his vaccinations and heartworm prevention.

Ty is a part of Lifelong Friends Pet Adoptions (Lago Vista, TX).
