Mabel is a typical Basset.  She is sweet, mild mannered, and funny and a little stubborn...

She was with a couple who also had Argus, another basset. There was a problem with a 4 year old child - the child had the problem - and Argus.  The child was not respectful of the dog. The parents wisely opted to place the dogs.  They will wait until the child is older.  There was no problem with the 8 year old child.

Mabel is 9 months old and about 30 pounds.  Argus is about 15 months old and 40 pounds... They are very bonded and I would like to place them together since they are a bonded pair.  They love to sleep together and play together.  Mabel should at least be in a home with another dog.

Mabel loves to go  - she is friendly, mild mannered and a bit reserved,and she is a sweet and funny girl.  She is a great companion and a great dog..

This dog is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained, and knows basic household commands. An obedience class would be very beneficial to the bonding process. This dog is up to date on vaccinations, is heart worm negative and on preventative.
