More About Sara-Adopted
Sara is a work hard play hard kind of girl. She's just all heart. She came into the shelter on 7/14 and is a little depressed in her cage. If you come down and see her, you'll notice that she sits very quietly at the front of her cage. And she usually has the most pitiful face on too. Outside, her true personality is a bit of a shock. She is a go-go kind of girl. She pretty much exercises herself. All dogs need walks, but as far as playing outside, Sara does all the work. She loooves toys, all toys, but particularly ropes and squeaky toys. So you can stand still and swirl a toy in the air and watch her leap for it. She also likes being chased. If she has a toy in her mouth, you can pretend you're going to take it away and she'll run to the other half of the play yard and then run back. After doing this for about 10 minutes, she's worn herself out. Easy peasy! She also likes working for treats, takes them very gently and knows sit. Also, she'll probably be great in a home with a big doggie brother to chase her around and wrestle with. Sara is a light-hearted, playful and friendly girl who deserves a loving family. Do you have room in your home for her? PLEASE REFER TO LOG # 439 WHEN INQUIRING ABOUT THIS DOG. -- To meet a dog, please visit the shelter during regular business hours or email aimless123@gmail.com. Hours are Monday - Saturday 11:00 AM - 2:45 PM - closed holidays. All descriptions are accurate observations witnessed in the shelter and not guarantees of the dog's behavior in a home environment. It is imperative you provide volunteers and staff complete information about people and animals residing in your home. This will help us guide you toward a dog we think will be the most compatible with your family. ALL children and canines currently in your home must meet the potential adoptee. ** Out of respect for employee schedules, volunteers can't take a dog out within 15 minutes of shelter closing time. Animal Control Officers and shelter employees do not work with the dogs and often can not provide information about the animal's personality. You must go to the shelter to arrange an adoption in person. No adoptions can be arranged over the phone or by Internet. ** For information on ways you can help through volunteering at the shelter, please call (401) 272-1639. You must be 18 to volunteer.
