Story:

Dr. Lin and I drove 6 hours to east part of Taiwan to rescue a black dog now we named “Fortune” who had been abused badly. Unfortunately Fortune has just past away 3 days ago. On the way back we were driving along the sea side and found a very tiny black puppy on the side of the road trying to get up from the ditch who we named Sunny now.

We stopped the car and picked her up from the ditch. She looks exactly like the 4 little puppies with white socks we rescued in April this year. Sunny also has shining black hair with a bit white patch on her chest and four white socks on her legs. Sunny is a girl and is very friendly so it is very obvious that Sunny used to be a house dog and someone had dumped her there. Unfortunately most of the people in Taiwan think dogs or cats with white socks or white boots will bring bad luck to the family so they tend to throw them out in the mountains or near the sea side so they will not be able to find their way home. Actually this is a superstition in Taiwan. These incidents happen a lot here in Taiwan especially in the countryside. And Sunny is a female puppy. Most of people in the countryside here do not neuter or spay their dogs and cats. They just throw out the female puppies or kittens and keep the male ones because they do not give birth. I am very shameful to say that in my country there are a lot of dogs and cats been thrown out of the house after they were born because they have white patches on their paws and they are females. I still don’t understand why this will bring bad luck. I personally think it is unique.

Sunny’s face looks so cute and innocent. Looking around the area (you can see from the video) there are no houses around along the ocean. How could someone dump a puppy in this kind of place? Dr. Lin decided to take Sunny back to the animal hospital because we just could not leave her behind and drive away.

It took us almost 7 hours to drive back to the veterinary. And Sunny didn’t even make a sound at the back of the car. This tiny girl slept all the way home. Sunny must have been so tired trying to find her way home before we rescued her. Little Sunny has passed all the health checks including numerous blood tests. She is a very healthy girl now.

Sunny has great temperament and is very gentle when getting along with other dogs and cats. She is very smart and is a quick learner. Sunny is now looking for a sweet forever home. If you are thinking about making this affectionate cuddly puppy as one of your family members; you’d better hurry because such a wonderful furry kid deserves loving mom and dad to look after and pamper her everyday. Please email us your adoption application to qantas260270@yahoo.com

Thank you very much for considering making Sunny a part of your life.
