Labrador Retriever

I was found following a homeless person on the street. I was tired so when they moved on I stayed. My luck changed when someone asked if I wanted a ride. She took me to the vet and my new foster mom. I am now enjoying life in the "A/C" and resting. My foster mom says that I am the sweetest, most loving, street dog she has ever laid eyes on. Unfortunately, I am heartworm positive and have hip dysplasia. Right now, the priority is to treat my heartworms first. After 3 months of rest, I will then be able to have surgery on my left hip where there isn't really a socket left at all. My foster mom says that despite what she knows about my hips, I walk and even skip some. She is giving me anti-inflammatories as well as glucosimine chondrotin supplements to help with that hip in particular. I am definitely a tad under weight at 42 lbs but everyone is glad that I am not overweight as that would put more stress on my hips. I am completely crate trained as well as housebroken. I get along great with other dogs too! Check back for more updates on my life in the "A/C"!!

All of our dogs are required to be inside pets only. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, home visit, and 5 day sleepover.
