Personality: very smart, affectionate, loves to shake hand with people, energetic, extremely friendly to all dogs and cats, fun loving, and cuddly.

Medical Record: has up to date vaccinations including rabies vaccination, de-wormed, micro-chipped, neutered, and tested negative for heartworm but positive for ehrlichiosis. Dumpling has now completed a 4 week medication course and has passed PCR blood test. He is now back to perfect health.

Please note Dumpling is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Bay Area (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found for her/him beforehand. Please consider Dumpling for your new addition. There is a $500 adoption fee (Cash, VISA or Master Card only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Story:

Dumpling was firstly been noticed by Ms. Whong because of his screaming. Ms. Whong had finished her work and on her way home to her apartment she heard dog’s screaming on the street. She then saw a man kicked a tiger brindle colored tiny puppy right in front of her. The man was actually her neighbor. Ms. Whong went up to find out why the man kicked the helpless young puppy. The guy said the little one kept getting close to his dog wanting to play but he was scared the skin disease might transfer to his dog so he kicked the puppy away. And he said if the puppy does that again he would kick his legs broken.

I know anyone heard this conversation would be furious but unfortunately in Taiwan there is no law to protect animals at all. Ms. Whong was so worried if this little innocent stray puppy might be treated terribly again. She decided to take him home.

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

　

Ms. Whong named the puppy Dumpling because he seemed to be very interested in her dinner which was steamed dumplings. After dinner Ms. Whong had a closer look at Dumpling and found he had very terrible skin condition which would need medical attention.

After a thorough health check up, Dumpling was confirmed to have suffered from ehrlichiosis and his skin was badly infected with fungus which made him so itchy and kept scratching his body. Dumpling’s skin smelled so bad and he had so much dandruff kind white flakes on his skin.

Dr. Lin asked Ms. Whong to give Dumpling medicated bath every 3 days and also gave him 4 weeks medication for ehrlichiosis. Now Dumpling has beautiful skin with sharp tiger brindle color hair all over his body and he is now tested negative for ehrlichiosis.

Dumpling is a polite puppy. He loves to be with people and he would try to please everyone by raise his front leg wanting to shake hand. Dumpling is very friendly towards all dogs and cats. He is also very gentle towards children.
