More About Sabrina II **$50 o

Sabrina II, as you can see, is a gorgeous and unusual calico. She is also declawed - what a bonus! Her circumstances of arriving at PAWS & More are a bit heartbreaking: Her owner surrendered her and her two housemates in tears. He was deployed on a military trip and, after weeks of searching, could not find anyone to take his beloved three cats. We are reducing Sabrina’s adoption fee by $50 so she can find a home quickly. She is 12 years young. Read on for an update from “Sabrina” and her foster home “mom.” "Hi, I'm Sabrina 2 and I'm pleased to meet you! My foster mom is sad that no one has inquired about me, so she asked if I would tell you a little about myself . . . I am a sweet, mellow girl who is no trouble at all. I don't jump up on counters and I won't scratch your nice furniture because I don't have any front claws - see, I'm almost purrfect. Well, I do have one "tiny" flaw - I like to beg for people food when my foster parents are eating their dinner. They sternly tell me, "No, Sabrina!", but the potatoes and roast beef smell SO good . . . Do you like my "Phantom of the Opera" mask? I think it makes me look mysterious. My lovely, calico coat is accented with a snowy- white bib and gloves - proper attire for a "mature" lady such as myself, don't you think? Although quiet most of the time, I do like to "chat" now and then but I am also a good listener. If you adopt me, I would be most happy to hear all about your day when you come home. I'll greet you at the door, wag my tail (which I do a lot - I wonder if I'm part D-O-G?) and let you know how much I missed you! When I get to my forever home I may be a little shy at first, but I will warm up quickly. My all-time favorite activity is curling up on foster mom's or dad's lap and letting them stroke my soft fur - that feels so good. I really don't care to be picked up much, so please, a home with adults or older, respectful children would be best. Even though I'm "no spring chicken", chasing the laser light is great fun - I am surprisingly agile and quick! My foster humans are nice - they have been very good to me and love me a lot (I think I love them, too), but it is just a temporary place to stay. My dream is to find a forever home where I don't have to compete with so many other animals (cats and dogs). I get along fine with them, but I much prefer human companionship. A quiet, more relaxed atmosphere in which to spend my "golden years" would be ideal - a place where you and I could gently cuddle, play a little or maybe just be near each other - I would devote my life to you. Won't you please come meet me and see what a special kitty I am? Just email PAWS & More, or give them a call. I need a loving family - do you need me? Thank you. Sabrina" We believe Sabrina would do well in an adult home, or in a home with older, respectful children. She would be great with "seniors". Toddlers and children who play rough or try to pick Sabrina up might prove too overwhelming for her. She seems to have a soft spot for my husband, and will lie next to him or on his lap in "their" easy chair. Sabrina expresses affection by rubbing up against us, softly purring, flexing her "happy paws", and just recently, giving me gentle butterfly kisses on the nose. If you are looking for a sweet, "mature" kitty to be your special companion, Sabrina would be a perfect match. She is undemanding, enjoys observing daily activities (she does play a little) and is adaptable to most any routine. All she asks for in return is for someone to give her a loving, caring home, where she will be treated with kindness and respect. Can that be you?
