Tortoiseshell

Nudgie is a special needs kitty who has a condition called Eosinophilic Granuloma. What it looks like from the outside is a fat lip on one side of her face. But the under side looks rather icky, to say the least. They, the veterinary community, doesn't really know what causes this condition and there really isn't a cure for it either.
The only thing that they can do is give monthly cortisone shots along with an antibiotic to help keep the swelling down.
Nudgie is a sweet kitty, on her terms, but doesn't like to be confined or receive medicines so this is going to be quite a challenge to even get her into a carrier every month to get the treatments she will require.
The vet will have to give her a long term antibiotic shot as she will not take any type of oral medicines and is a bear even for injections too, but at least they are doing this and not us. We have enough battle scars already from her, just getting her into a carrier for the cortisone treatments.
She hasn't missed a beat with any meal times and seems not to favor her condition, at present. We are hoping she continues this way.
