More About Phil

Phil is a really sweet, happy-go-lucky 2 year old with a big smile on his face. He loves to be petted, and has even fallen asleep while having his belly scratched. He loves to play with his toys, especially his blue loofa dog, which he can be found carrying around the house. He's very curious about reflections and has been found looking at himself in the oven window. He is also curious about TV, and will sit with his head cocked, watching ti, especially if Animal Planet is on.

He is a real cuddler, and will sit on your foot, or lean into you, just to be in touch. When he looks at you with those big, soulful eyes, you just melt!

Phil is a little bigger than the average beagle, weighing in at 35 pounds and about 16 inches high. He's quite the handsome fellow - a beautiful tri-color, with the brown being a dark chestnut. He's one of those dogs you have to meet, and then you will fall in love with him!

Phil lived with an older gentleman who adopted him and 3 other beagles after his wife died. The man was lonely and a friend gave him some dogs that did not test well in 'field trials' and were therefore more suitable as pets. He is now not able to care for them due to health reasons. When he was rescued, he had been living in an old fenced lot, with dirty water and cheap, bright red-dyed food. He is now in foster care, and looking for a new home.

Phil is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
