More About Dane
Dane is a 10 year old Schnauzer.
He was found running around at the Acqueduct Racetrack all by himself! Two people saw him and rescued him. Luckily, our groomer was present when he entered the facility. Whoever abandoned him obviously did not care for him! His fur was all matted and dirty. He looks completely different now than when he first came in.
He is blind. When we brought him into the facility, he was scared and afraid, but did not know which way to leave... Every time someone reached to pet him, he would flinch because he could not see what was happening. He even flinched every time the camera shutter sounded!
When given treats, he can't exactly chew them because he has no teeth.
Despite his current condition and age, Dane walks and runs quite fast. He enjoys going on walks so he can feel the wind in his face.
