More About Darcy

Dark, long-legged beauty seeks VLF (very loving family). Hi, I'm Dane Darcy, and I'm looking for love! I'm seeking a gentle, quiet, loving home to share, and in return I'll give my complete and total adoration. I had a rough time of things up until I met the nice people of Animal Cops Houston and the SMART Rescue people who helped me find a temporary home. Since I've been in my foster home I've been taken to the vet for all of my shots, I've been spayed, and I've had heartworm treatment, so I'm healthy and happy now. I'm a sweet girl, I like routine, I love people, and really enjoy gentle petting and attention. I lean against my people when they pet me so that I feel closer to them. I'm an indoor girl, but I do like the occasional romp in the backyard to chase the squirrels and lizards and to play with my foster brother and sister. I'm good in the house when I'm left unattended, and my family leaves my crate available, but they don't lock me inside because I've never destroyed any of their stuff. I'm still a little bit bashful, and loud noises, harsh words, and shouting scare me, so a home that is quiet, and has a routine would be best. I'm gentle with adults and children, I greet guests nicely, and I really like the housekeeper (she gives me biscuits). I pull on a leash because I like walking so much, but my foster family hasn't had much time to train me to do better since I've been on heartworm treatment for awhile. I'm done now, and would enjoy some training in my new forever home. I have a beautiful, short, dark, spotted coat, but I still shed a little bit (not as bad as my German Shepherd foster brother and sister though!). I'm inquisitive, and always interested in what is on the counter or in the trash can. My foster family stores the food up off the counters since I've shown them just how high I can reach! I would really like a family of my very own, who will love me, and let me be a part of their daily routine. I'm a very good housedog, and an excellent listener and companion! Wouldn't you like to share your home and heart with me? Darcy is 6 years old and 102 lb. Please apply online at www.smartpetz.com. Darcy's adoption fee is $200.

Darcy is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
