More About Jessie

JESSIE's Meet Your Match Feline-alityTM is SIDEKICK (Orange)

Like all sidekicks, I'm just plain good company. I like attention, and I also like my solitude. I don't go looking for trouble but I'm no scaredy-cat either. If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, look no further.

Interesting Stuff About JESSIE:

As I went to ‘interview’ Jessie for Petfinder, I found him under a blanket in his cage. No, he was not sleeping; he was using the blanket to peer out at the world. I assured him that I was a friend and in a couple of minutes his paw came out from under the blanket in a subtle gesture that he was ready to accept me as a friend. I talked to him more and gently petted his very soft fur and soon he was out from under the blanket to get some loving. I stroked his back and his butt shot into the air as a sign that he was thoroughly enjoying the touch. But the real treat was his purr! Jessie has a big loud motor purr that is music to ears of a cat lover. This is when I knew that although shy, he just needs a little coaxing to understand that the world is really not that scary. His last owner did have Jessie declawed and that certainly explains why he feels vulnerable. The rest of the ‘interview’ was spent with Jessie rubbing against my arms, the paperwork, and sniffing my face.

Jessie is a very pretty short-haired black and white cat. He is primarily white with big black dots sprinkled around his body. He really has some great markings that are different from what we normally see. His bright yellow eyes are a perfect contrast to his white and black coat. To the touch, his fur is as soft as a bunny’s and since Jessie loves to be petted this is a great sensation for all….

Jessie is trying to make a nice impression for his next owner but his next owner will need to be patient. Jessie needs time to feel comfortable in a new environment but once he feels safe and secure, the effort will be worth every second. All he wants is for someone to love. Can that person be you?

Jessie is bonded to his brother, Custard, an orange tabby male. Custard is very timid and does not do well in the shelter environment. Therefore, the two of them are living in foster care. If you'd like to meet this handsome duo, please call the shelter at (503) 925-8903 to get in touch with their foster mom.
