ADOPTED PUPDATE JUN 18-09: YEAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! I could NOT be any happier today. Do you know why? OK, I must tell everyone I AM GOING HOME! I have found me the perfect home where my new dad is this fun young man who I think might be able to keep up with me, AND I have a young 4-legged brother who looks almost like me. I know we are going to have way too much fun together. My new dad is amazing, and my new bro loves having a good time. I know life does not get any better than this! Love, Nim
PUPDATE JUN 4-09: I thought you might want to know I made it back to camp from being at the dogtor. I must admit, I was not sure what I was getting myself into when Ant Bo dropped me off at the dogtor office to get neutered. I remember falling asleep and right when I was getting to a great part of my dream I woke up. Not only did I NOT get to finish my awesome dream, but I also woke feeling different. I felt different because there is now a part of me missing! Even sitting just did not seem right for the first few hours! OK, I admit it, I did have a hard time adjusting, but the good news is I am doing much better now. While I was at the dogtor they also checked me over, and I received some shots. Now I am current on my shots, AND the dogtor said my ears looked good, my eyes were in fine shape, my throat is fine, my knees are great, and my heart sounded pawfect! It does not get much better than that! It was sure a long day at the dogtor, but now that everything is over I am doing just fine. I am ready to go run and play, but for some reason Ant Bo thinks I need to keep it mellow for a little longer to be sure I heal ok. Yea, you heard me right, she really does expect a 6 month old puppy to be mellow. Well, now that I have been to the dogtor and I have been doing great Ant Bo says I am ready to find my forever home. I am sooooo excited for the day my family comes and gets me. Don’t get me wrong, I am having a blast here at camp, BUT I have so much love I want to share with someone. Oh, and I hope my new home has some tennis balls. I LOVE playing with tennis balls. Yea, I know what you are thinking. How does a tiny pup like myself (I do weigh 5.5 lbs) get one of those in my mouth, right? Well, I CAN do it and I can’t wait to show my new family how! Love, Nim
MAY 24-09: Hello world! My name is Nim and I am one of the new furkids on the block. I was told I was going to be a FluffyButts furkid which kind of confused me since my butt is not really fluffy! Oh well, I am still enjoying myself at Camp McClnk. I have already made a lot of friends and been playing like crazy. This place rocks! Ok, so I bet you are wondering why a handsome, fun, loving, little not-so-fluffybutt like myself ended up homeless, right? After all, did you see my color? I am gray with white markings (my feet are even white)! Well, I did have a really nice dad but due to some unforeseen circumstances my papa is having to move to California. At first I was really bummed and confused,, but now I am a happy little man on the move! I love to run, play with toys., and laying in the grass is relaxing. Ant Bo keeps telling me I have a lot of energy. I have to keep reminding her I am only 6 months old so of course I am full of energy! What is she thinking? Ant Bo just told me I will be going to the dogtor in about 1 ˝ weeks so I can have my pieces cut. I am not really excited about this, but in the end I think it will be a good thing. I also need some shots, heartworm test, and a physical exam before I go to my furever home. While I am there I will also get my weight (Ant Bo thinks I am about 5 pounds). I will keep you posted on how the dogtor appointment goes! Anyways, my break is up and Lucas wants to play again so I better get going! Have a good day! Love, Nim
Nim's adoption donation is $400.

Please be patient with us - we're taking care of a lot of kids - our own and the foster kids - and we have families, homes and full time jobs. We're giving meds to the sick kids, playing with the healthy kids, and loving on all the kids. We're doing their laundry, trying to teach them manners and where to do their business, and cleaning up their accidents. In other words, we're just a little busy but we'll return email inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. Thanks!
ADOPTIONS: We don't let the fact that you might live out of state stop any adoption that's meant to be, but you MUST be willing to drive, or fly, all the way to pick up your new family member. We do not ship these kids on airplanes by themselves - we think they'd have a hard time getting through security without their rabies tag setting off the metal detectors. If the kid needs a health certificate because they're flying home, that will be an expense for the new family.
ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount doesn't even come close to covering that kid's dogtor bills. This is definitely not a money-making venture. We're usually so far in the hole but the impawtant thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the pawfect family. That's our top pawority. (I just can't resist using "paw" whenever I can!)
POTTY TRAINING: Please note that we NEVER say our kids are 100% potty-trained. How stupid would we be to say something like that? If you're willing to be trained by your new family member, please fill out an application. If you're looking for a totally potty-trained kid, you may as well stop at the toy store on your way home from work and buy a stuffed toy because those are the only reliable ones to NOT potty in your home. There is a period of adjustment, not just for the new family member but for everyone in the house. You must be patient, understanding, and willing to work with your new family member. It can take anywhere from several days to several months. You must be 100% committed to this, it's a lifetime commitment.
HUG AND KISS YOUR KIDLETS LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW.
Nim is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
