ROCKY ROAD This is a super people friendly dog, he is great with men, women & older children. He wags his whole bum back and forth nearly folding in half when his foster dad comes home. Ideally he would be placed in a home with children 10 or older since he might knock over a small child out of sheer exuberance. Currently he is being fostered with 3 young border collies and is getting along very well with all them even the crazy herding one. Cats invoke quite a reaction at first but he listens well when told to leave them alone. He walks fairly well on a regular leash and an extensi-leash but needs A LOT of work on his recall. Starting May 23rd Rocky Road will be starting a “Attention, Reliable Recall & Loose Leash Walking” class with his foster mom, if he’s not placed by then. At night time he enjoys cuddling on the sofa with his foster mom and slowly works his way onto her lap along with whichever toy he has at that moment. Yes, he loves all toys, plush toys, tennis balls, soccer balls, frisbees, kongs, wubbas, you name it, he’ll play with it. But he will also try and sneak a shoe or pillow to play with and to him ALL plush toys are doggie toys. Rocky Road is really a wonderful dog that would make a superb addition to an active home.
