More About Mickey Mouth
**Update 07/03/2009** Mickey had his surgery on June 24th and is recovering nicely! He goes back on Wednesday, July 8th to have his stitches removed. Once we get a better idea on how well he'll continue healing, we can move forward with his heartworm treatments :)
Date Available For Adoption: No sooner than January 2010
History: Mickey was picked up locally as a VERY thin boy!
Bio: Mickey isn't really talking much about his past and we can only speculate. We do not really believe that he was fought because he has no other scarring on his body that would indicate as much. His facial injury is unique and one that leaves many questions unanswered! The area is clean with few, if any jagged edges. It genuinely looks like whatever caused Mickey to lose such a substantial portion of his lip got him some form of treatment. If he could only tell his story!
Approximate Age: 2 years
Approximate Weight: 60lbs
Miscellaneous Information: Mickey's lip is fixed! We found a wonderful vet who donated a substantial portion of Mickey's surgery to help GREATLY reduce the costs! It'll be another month or so before we can get Mickey treated for his heartworms but he's well on his way to being a healthy, happy dog.
We are pleased to announce that we are now offering 30 days of pet insurance as a gift to our adopters! Ask us for more information!
