SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA:: It has taken Whiskey some time to trust people again. He was treated badly, kept penned up and was dirty, matted and tick ridden. He was afraid of being hurt. With regular grooming, gentle care, good food and affection his loving nature has taken over. He has favorite toys and will chase a ball. When you reach to pet his head he ducks as though he has been hit before and is being careful. Once he is petted he wiggles up your lap as far as he can to cherish the closeness. He truly craves affection and so deserves a loving family who will be kind and give him the life he should have always had. This little boy gets along with other dogs and cats but has never learned to play with them. He really would prefer to have his person all to himself. He adores his walks and cries in happiness when he sees you have his leash. He kind of plods around the house, but on his walks he prances like a happy puppy looking everywhere at everything. His appetite is good, he enjoys treats and is healthy and sturdy. Whiskey has earned a forever home with a kind and gentle person who will reaffirm his love and trust in people. He is seeking a home with no children and a backyard to have for those warm days to enjoy as well. Whiskey is around 10 years old with many years left in him, he weighs 9 pounds, he is neutered, up to date on his shots and is microchipped.
