More About CHUCKY

LUCKY ME>>>>I was adopted on 8-02-09 ***UPDATED 7-26-09***

Chucky is a special fella that deserves a special home. He was dumped out of a vehicle at one of the local parks and left behind. Animal Control was contacted after some caring citizens picked him up. He was impounded at their facility and no one came to claim him. That is when rescue stepped in and took him into foster care. He was a mess!!! Dirty, matted and not in good health. We also noticed that he had a very strange way of walking and he kept losing his balance. Turns out that Chucky needed surgery on his knee caps. We were fortunate enough to have a group of volunteers from Buck Knives put together a raffle and raise the money for his surgery. He is now fully recovered and ready for placement.

Chucky is approximately 3 years of age and weighs 15 pounds.

What we want for Chucky: an adult home with a quiet environment and moderate activity. Chucky LOVES to go for walks and requires the exercise for his rehabilitation. He needs someone who is going to be patient and can understand that this dog was mistreated and he takes time to trust new humans. Things as simple as adjusting his collar or trimming his nails are enough to put him into a panic mode. Chucky is a very loyal dog and he has made lots of progress while in rescue and will only be placed into a home that is able to continue working with him on behavorial issues, he is not a dog for the 1st time dog owner. RCPR will require a home that has a fenced in yard. Another dog that is similar in size and energy level would be great. If you'd like more info about Chucky then give us a call @ 208-777-7297 or send us an email to request an adoption application: rivercitypetrescue@yahoo.com

CHUCKY is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
