More About Duncan Donuts

Have you ever had a bad back? Well Duncan Donuts knows exactly what that's like. This poor little guy has a missing disc between 2 vertebrae on his back, and early arthritic changes on his tail......they are very early changes, because Duncan is only around 3 years old. He was likely hit by a car, or possibly was abused...it is hard to know. What we do know is that this poor little cat was intercepted when his owner was in line at a local animal control shelter. She said he wasn't a "nice" cat, so she used her broom and her cane to force him into a carrier. It's so hard to understand why people act this way.....if she'd only taken him to the vet, she would have learned that he has back problems, which can make him grumpy. Now Duncan is on pain meds, and that seems to help....but even so, he probably should not be around children. He cannot jump up on furniture because of his back. He needs a loving home who will understand what it's like to be in pain, and who will be patient with Duncan. He does have one true joy in life, and that is EATING!!! At mealtimes, Duncan can't wait, and looks up at you with those gorgeous green eyes, eager to enjoy his meal. He also loves to be scratched on his chin and petted on his head. Duncan is learning to trust people again, and would love a wonderful home with people who can understand his needs.
