Breed: Manchester terrier and Basenji mix to our best guess

Personality: very affectionate, love to be patted on the head and belly, love to social with all dogs, loyal, calm and stable, very friendly to people, especially with children, quick learner, absolutely a sweetie.

Medical record: has up to date vaccinations including rabies vaccination, de-wormed, heartworm tested negative, micro-chipped, and spayed.

More about Larissa:

Larissa is a victim of robber band; more precisely she had been abused by the person who purposely put a rubber band over Larrisa just for fun. Dr. Lin received a phone call from a lady asking for help. She saw Larissa’s neck was bleeding and smelt very badly. She knew something was not right. Larissa was not close to strangers so Dr. Lin could only catch her with a blow gun. Very luckily, the first needle went right on Larissa’s back leg and she was feeling sleepy after a few minutes. Dr. Lin quickly took the rubber band off Larissa’s neck while she was sleeping under the anesthetics effect. The wound was very bad. Larissa’s windpipe had been cut open by the rubber band. Dr. Lin took Larissa back to the animal hospital for operation. Her wound needed to be sterilized and stitched up.

Something amazingly happened after Larissa had wakened up from her operation. She was so friendly to everyone. She licked Dr. Lin’s hand when Dr. Lin patted her. It seemed like she knew that she was saved by Dr. Lin and wanted to thank him. We were so touched and surprised to see her super friendly behavior. After been mistreated by human, she still chooses to trust us and to love us.

Larissa’s stitches have been taken out and the wound is fully recovered now. She is ready to be adopted and loved and pampered by her new mom and dad. Larissa is very friendly to all dogs and cats. She is a very calm dog. Larissa is not a barker and she loves to be with people a lot. She is a quick learner and is potty trained.

It makes our hearts ache whenever we saw the mark on her neck. We promised Larissa that we will do our best to find her a sweet forever home. She will be loved and pampered so much everyday.
