More About Tori
ADOPTED 7/26/09: Tori is flying to her new home in Victoria BC on 7/18! She will have two young kids that will get to grow up with her. Yeah for Miss Tori!
UPDATE 5/31/09: Tori's puppies went to their new homes today. They were weaned about 2 weeks ago. She will be spayed in a couple weeks (once her mammary glands shrink down) and then will be ready for her new home. Tori is a wonderful girl - she's happy go lucky and easy going. She really deserves a great forever home.
FYI: All dogs are located in Williamston, MI (which is near Lansing, MI) unless stated otherwise at the top of their petfinder listing. We get dogs from all over the country, so we like to list where they came from as their hometown.
NOTE: Tori and her puppies are in foster care here in Williamston, MI.

Her story: If only Tori could talk, oh the stories she would tell us. Tori has 8 puppies (sadly we lost 2 puppies in the litter, in large part because Tori is so skinny it was hard to her to provide enough nutrition to such a large litter). The father was definitely a lab. These kids are so cute! They are:
The colors and genders are: 1 black girl (Okra), 1 yellow girl (Maize), 1 chocolate girl (Rhubarb), 4 yellow boys (Daikon, Kale, Flax, and Pumpkin), and 1 black boy (Sprout, the runt).
You can thank my husband for the names. He decided this litter should be the vegetable litter!
Her personality: Tori is a little shy when you first meet her, but she warms up quickly. Pointers are an easy going breed. They love to play as much as they love being a couch potato.
Other dogs: Tori is great with other dogs.
Cats: Tori is good with cats.
Kids: Tori would be a wonderful choice if you have kids.
Housetraining: Tori is crate trained and house trained.
Fencing Needs: Tori would do well with a standard or invisible fence.
Hunting Potential: Tori might make a fun hunting buddy with the right training and guidance. Remember, our first priority is to find our foster dogs wonderful homes. Birddogs could care less if they go hunting or not, they just want plenty of outdoor time and families that love them. The vast majority of the dogs we adopt go to pet homes, where they are happy to chase and point bug, butterflies, and songbirds. Only about 1% go to hunting homes (where they are still spoiled family members).
Vet Stuff: Tori is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. She has been spayed. Like all of our foster dogs, she is current on flea and heartworm preventative.
Adoption Fee: Please click on the Pointers From Oz link on the right of this page for information about our adoption fees.
