Interesting Stuff About SIMON:
Meet SIMON aka Kleinfelter, a very rare cat indeed! You see, Simon is a male tortoiseshell – a coloration almost exclusively female. About 1 in every 3,000 tortoiseshells or calico cats is born male.
Simon, just 10 months old, is affectionate, and loves to be scratched behind his ears. Be sure to watch his face when you do scratch him behind his ears or on the side of his neck, he will make a face like he has gone into 'lala land'! The word lap cat is a pretty mild phrase for Simon's behavior. If there were kitty awards for lap cats then it would surely go to Simon. Once Simon is on your lap he is as content as can be to just hang out there. And why not? Laps are typically warm and cushy... While he's with you, he's as gentle as they come. You won't feel his claws because he knows that a person is not a scratching post. For a young cat, he really is quite laid back. Just like a good friend that you always are comfortable just hanging out with.
Simon has terrific markings for a Tortoiseshell. His fur is full of vibrant colors and he has one black and one tan black leg - making his coloring even more unique. According to Wikipedia, "Tortoiseshell describes a coat coloring found in cats. Cats of this colour are mottled, with patches of red and black, chocolate, or cinnamon. They are sometimes called torties for short."
Simon is waiting for his new owner where he can love and be loved. This little guy is sure to be the 'apple of your eye'. Come by to meet him and if you decide to adopt him you will have that cat that is 1 in 3,000!
