More About Sherry

Sherry came to us on a cold, rainy night in October. I met the people at a gas station. Sherry, a chihuahua and Emily, a Pomeranian, were in the back of a pick up truck with a simple camper shell on it in a cardboard box with a small log on top of the box to keep it closed. They were cold, scared, dirty, stinky and boy, was I glad to receive them to get them away from where they were living. They had been in cages in a barn in the boonies. Their owner, a highly irresponsible breeder, had been in jail for a month and his mother was going to his barn to feed the dogs 'nearly every day'. These girls really needed to come into rescue. The Pomeranian, Emily is still scared and skittish but I think that Sherry knew she'd been rescued and has been grateful ever since. She is a black with a bit of white, smooth coat chihuahua and is a bigger chihuahua at about 12 pounds. Sherry is friendly and affectionate. She is perfect on the wee wee pads. We have no idea of her age and she may have some gray mixed in that white but she is active and healthy; I imagine that she is about 6 or 7 years old. She has been spayed, up to date on shots, wormed, microchipped and has had a much needed dental. Sherry is ready to go to her forever home. She'll be a wonderful companion to someone. Sherry gets along just fine with the other dogs in her foster home.

The adoption fee for Sherry is $200. Each of our dogs is up to date on all shots, including rabies, spayed or neutered, microchipped, fecal tested for internal parasites, treated if necessary, tested for heartworm, treated if necessary, on heartworm preventative and we also take care of dentals or any other medical needs they may have.
