More About Hemme

Hemme and his siblings were found under a dumpster when they were only about 6-8 weeks old. A good Samaritan found them and brought them to us. From day one, Hemme has been the confident one of the group. He is very loving, playful and silly. He loves to sit on a warm lap and be cuddled. But, chasing a feather on a string is another one of his delights!

Hemme was named after the Dodge Hemi engine because he has such a powerful motor:) To know him is to Love him. What a sweet little guy.

Note: Hemme is a carrier of the feline leukemia virus and needs a very special home. There are no symptoms to FeLV; therefore Hemme looks and acts just as a regular kitty, but with so much more purrrr-sonality! He just can’t be in a household with other cats that are FeLV negative, to not risk giving the virus to them. He will need to be keep indoors away from other cats. FeLV is not contagious to humans or dogs. Please consider adopting this wonderful kitty.

Many people do not understand FeLV (you can go to the web site http://www.marleyfund.com/felvfacts.aspx click on Education for more information.)
If you would like to make a difference in the life of this sweet guy please fill out an online application.
