More About Deloris
DELORIS's Meet Your Match Feline-alityTM is LEADER OF THE BAND (Green)
I'm a cat who does everything in a big way. I not only like to be in the middle of things - I like to lead the parade. I'm an adventurous cat, but I'll still make plenty of time to show you my affectionate side. I'm the demonstrative type, you might say. Want a cat who's brimming with confidence? That's me!
Interesting Stuff About DELORIS:
DELORIS had been adopted but after a couple of months was brought back to the shelter because she was not happy with the resident cat. Her adopter tried to work with her but finally decided it was best for Deloris that she find a home where she would be more content. Her adopter left us with the following words regarding Deloris's personality, preferences, and appearance.
Personality: "Very friendly and playful who appreciates her toy pets, chin,-rubs, and tummy tickle. She loves to play with her favorite 'bird' toy and will happily rub on a bit of catnip. If it is possible for her to sit on the back of your chair, she will lick and affectionately nuzzle your hair. Deloris also appreciates her crinkly toy tunnel and energetically scratches her cardboard scratching pad."
Preferences: "Deloris prefers a home where she is the only cat, and is happy to be your one and only. When first brought home, she disappeared for three days. ... Apparently, she needed those three days to build confidence in new surroundings with new companions. She is happy with people, but less so with her own species! She has good house manners, and faithfully uses her litter box."
Appearance: Deloris is a unique brown and and gold 'Bulls-Eye' Tabby with white markings on her toes and face with the white ending in a sweetheart neckline. Her large eyes are dramatically marked and are a jewel-green in color. A pretty and playful girl who welcomes your company and will love you to pieces."
The above comments by Deloris's previous adopter describe he perfectly. The only thing to add, is that she has a very distinct meow. Some liken it to a 'squeak' and some liken it to the sound of a happy baby. What is especially great, is that Deloris 'speaks' frequently with her unique meow. She'll meow when you pet her and she'll meow when you talk to her. Simply wonderful !
Deloris needs to be with people to thrive. Don't let her spend another day in the shelter. She's waiting for you at the CAT Shelter in Sherwood.
Deloris has been diagnosed with FIV. Cats diagnosed with FIV can lead long & healthy lives. Because CAT feels so strongly that they will remain healthy and wishes to provide a sense of support, a Wellness Certificate is issued upon adoption.
These certificates provide the following, free of charge, for one year after adoption:
