Plus all the people that sent thru Pay Pal!! We don't have your names yet. We would like to Thank everyone for their donations and also for your thoughts and prayers for Precious Angel. She is one amazing cat.
Sorry the photos are so grapic........
This sweet baby girl was rescued by WAG Animal Rescue on March 1st. She went into surgery the next day at Willowood Acres Veterinary Clinic. There, they removed an arrow that someone had shot through her eye. It went all the way through her head and stopped. It went up at an angle, causing her eye to pop out of its socket. Sadly, the eye had to be removed as well. Precious Angel also cannot open her mouth on the one side. The people who gave her to us said she had the arrow in her for about three days and they don't know who did it. Precious Angel is about 4 months old and is very sweet and loving.
The surgery is going to be about $1,200. Any donations to help offset the cost would be greatly appreciated. Please send to:

UPDATE: 3/2/2009The vet called and said she is out of surgery and doing great! They removed the arrow from her head and removed her left eye. We are hoping she will be able to open the left side of her mouth when the swelling goes down. The vet also said she thinks the arrow had to be in her for more than a week as the tissue was already growing around it! What pain she must of been in. She must have had an angel watching over her. Dr. Bolduc at Willowood Acres did a fantasic job and we are very grateful to her.
UPDATE:3/10/2009 Precious Angel is doing fantastic. The hole in the back of her head is healing up nicely and she just has alittle bit of drainage from the hole in her face. She has a hard time following things but she is still getting used to having only one eye. Precious Angel loves to be petted and get lots of attention. It is truely amazing that she still trusts people!!! She also adores other cats, she is constantly nudging them. I think she is looking for a mother figure.

An application must be filled out and approved before we will make special arrangements to meet a cat/kitten.
A volunteer will review your application and contact you if you are approved or if further clarification is required. We will make every attempt to contact approved applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received.

WAG Animal Rescue adopts to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis.
We are an all-volunteer organization, and regret that we do not have the resources to contact applicants that are not approved. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER, ALL OUR ANIMALS ARE FOSTERED AT OUR VOLUNTEERS HOME AND A FEW OF OUR CATS ARE HOUSED AT PETSMART IN LIVONIA UP TO TWO WEEKS AND THEY GO BACK TO THEIR FOSTER HOMES.
OUR ADOPTION EVENTS ARE VERY BUSY so please keep that in mind if you intend to come. You should expect to spend some time there if you are sincerely interested in one of our animals (since we have limited manpower and many visitors to screen).
WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE RESCUE YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WILL BE AT THE ADOPTION EVENT.
We ask that you DO NOT contact PetSmart about our animals. They are kind enough to provide space for our adoption events, but are not involved with our rescue work.
