More About Jasper

UPDATE 10-14-09 My foster mom is typing this message for me- one disadvantage of being a dog- no thumbs! Anyway, I wanted to give all of my fans out there an update about how I am doing in my foster home. I want to thank my foster brothers and sisters for helping me become a more self-confident young male basset. I am making progress with being in new and different situations. Plus, I've learned from my oldest foster sister that the corners of pillows are really fun to chew on! It's fun to watch my foster mom's face when she walks around the corner and finds pillow batting all over the living room! I would love to get the chance to discover a long-term home where I can spread my wings and romp all over the family room couch... Jasper here! I am a 2 ˝ year old basset boy who was abandoned by my previous owners. I spent about a week in an apartment before someone came to rescue me. Luckily, there are a lot of crazy basset lovers who are willing to open their homes and hearts for hounds like myself. I am a little shy around new people and dogs. Cats are rather interesting- I like to bark at them! I do like to be around other dogs that are my size (35 lbs.) who are mellow. I don’t like sassy and bossy canines, it makes me nervous. Small children also make me nervous- so I prefer older children (10 years +). My favorite hobbies are to run crazy circles around the back yard, chase flies, and brave bunnies. I don’t mind sleeping in a crate at night and when my foster mom and dad are at work. I also like to go to play group to see my hound cousins. If you are willing to give me a chance to melt your heart, please fill out an application so I can come and watch the Animal Planet at your house!
Home without children (< 5 yrs old)

Jasper is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
