Maine Coon, Domestic Medium Hair [Mix]

Dempsey is approximately 5 years old. He came to the shelter as a very friendly stray. Dempsey is one of the most curious cats we've had in our care for a very long time. We think his curiousity may have been the reason he was a stray. He loves to see what's on the other side of any door. Perhaps he slipped through the door of his previous home and was lost.

Dempsey's curiousity and love of doors is fascinating to watch. He opens the doors to our counters and inspects their contents. He never gets excited when the door closes behind him. He methodically works at the door until he's free again.

Dempsey has been totally vetted and is ready to start his new life. During his medical exam we learned that he needed a dental appointment. Indeed he did - he lost some teeth. We know he feels better without them.

Dempsey is very outgoing and he wants to be everywhere you are. He's not a lap cat but he definitely supervises everything we do in the house. He's very easy going and loves treats and to be brushed.
