Heart Breaker: New in Town! Arrived January 31, 2009 from a kill shelter, where he'd been turned in. The staff fell head over heels in in love with him for his winning personality, indominatable spirit, and, let's face it, movie star good looks! This dear puppy, approximately 7 weeks old, has no use of his back legs.
Our vet's x-rays show no spinal damage, so he suspects spina bifada. Further testing is needed.
AnimalSavers has fitted Marveille, meaning miracle in French which indeed we're hoping for, with a wheelchair. The cost for these is approximately $350.00 each. As a growing dog, he'll need a new one approximately every 2 months until full grown. Additionally, we'd like to raise the funds for x-rays to determine if corrective surgery is indicated.
