Update 2/19- Candy has her cart! She adjusted to it right away and is so happy to be able to run around and play. All she needs now is a home...

UPDATE: Candy's cart is on it's way! Thank you to everyone who donated- we have received donations to cover about 1/2 the cost of the cart and accessories so far... She is enjoying her "protect-a-pet" pouch (which allows her to drag herself around without causing sores on her legs) while she waits for her cart to arrive next week. Check back for updates.

CANDY NEEDS A CART! We are looking for donations to buy a cart for her, or a donation of a used cart that would fit her (she is 10.5 lbs). Candy is an adorable sweet little 2 1/2 year old purebred smooth dapple mini doxie looking for a very special home. She was surrendered because her previous owners did not have time to care for her properly. She had suffered a back injury and was paralyzed 11/08. Unfortunately she wasn't crate-rested and surgery options were not explored soon enough, and our vet does not believe she will regain use of her back legs. She does have tail function and full control of her bladder and bowels, and is a good candidate for a cart. She is a very friendly kissy happy girl despite her disability and will make a wonderful companion for a home that will appreciate all the love she has to offer. Please submit an application if you are interested in her once she is ready for adoption.

We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes or boarding kennels and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash).
