More About Mischa

Hi, my name is Mischa. Some websites say that the name Mischa translates into “gift from God”. My foster mom would agree because she says that I am the sweetest and most adorable dog ever!
I am a tiny Toy Austrailian shepherd/Papillon mix ....Just look at my face – have you ever seen a smile this sweet? Although I have some physical challenges, my personality, charm and dashing good looks more than make up for it. Sadly, I am not able to use my back legs, but the wonderful people who rescued me from the shelter have fitted me with a cart that allows me to do all the things that dogs should do . . . and sometimes shouldn’t do. I am only about 2 years old and I weigh approximately 6 pounds. Please know that I will appreciate all the time you will need to take to keeping me and my bedding clean and dry. I love wearing my little baby dresses, but they do get wet and pooped in. I can usually let you know that I need to be changed, I'm not shy about that. I'm also happy to wear plastic doggie diapers, but I'm so thin they often slip off. My foster mom and I are working hard coming up with just the right "outfit" that will give me enough freedom to scoot around the floor or run around outside while at the same time protecting my little bottom from getting sore, bruised or wet. I do have a cart and I'm trying to practice using it, but I get around so fast without it that I wonder why I need it. I would definitely benefit from some physical therapy or water therapy that would loosen up my joints and let me be more comfortable in my cart. So if you have a pool or live near a doggie rehab center that would be a big help to me. The family I live with now is wonderful, but I would really like to find my forever home. I will make a wonderful companion if you just give me a chance. I am up-to-date on my shots and heartworm negative. For more information, please contact my foster mom at nmsd_rescue@yahoo.com.
