More About Precious-Nice Fami

UPDATE: It's that time of year and this foster family loves to go camping. Precious went on her first trip 4/24/09 for the weekend and had a ball. She was surrendered to the shelter where she sat for several months waiting for someone to notice her. Her owners couldn't remember how old she was but said between 7-9 years. Can you imagine? Insult to injury. A BCAA volunteer spread the word about her pleasant disposition and what a nice companion she would be if only someone would give her a chance. When a foster home was available Precious was selected to be apart of the BCAA family. Her foster mom says she is one of the easiest to care for. She's housebroken and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She is a total love bug. She lives with two other male dogs, two cats and two children with loads of visitors to the house. Henry the black mastiff puppy in the photo is one of her favorite dogs to play with. Even though she arrived at the shelter in bad shape it hasn't deterred her from living life to the fullest. She loves to go for walks, to cuddle with her family members, canine or human and enjoys car rides too. What more could you ask for!!! Precious was used as a breeding machine and has had several litters. Those days are behind her now. She is spayed and one of the only decisions she has to make is, which couch to take her nap on. She enjoys three square meals per day and giving her family unconditional love and adoration. Precious does not produce tears so her foster mom applies one eye drop, 2 times per day to keep her eyes lubricated and free from dirt, etc. She is wonderful about them and you can see beyond her almost total blindness that she knows you are taking care of . . . what we humans call a disability. She gets around just fine and comes when called. She even knows some commands like sit. If you are interested in meeting/adopting, please complete our on-line application. You may then contact the foster family at joe.sheila@comcast.net.
