Great Pyrenees

Looking like a baby female Polar Bear, Misty is all white and as adorable as can be! Her mom is Angel, a gorgeous young Great Pyrenees female who was turned into a shelter pregnant by her owners. The shelter called us immediately and we were ready to take Angel out, but she started having her nine puppies before we could get her.

After the puppies were all born and in a routine of nursing, Angel was transported to us with her week old newborn puppies and we can tell you she is a real Angel and is a great mom to her incredible puppies. You can see the photos and video from the night they arrived here and then other videos as they are growing. They are not yet ready to go home but will be able to go home at 8 weeks old. Some of her puppies are Great Pyrenees just like her and some look like Newfy Pyrs, some like Leonberger Pyrs and one even looks like a Saint Bernard Great Pyrenees.

All are fluffy and love-able and sweet and we have promised to find them all the greatest homes on Earth where they will be loved and cherished and happy and safe for life!

The fact that such an amazing wonderful dog like Angel could ever have been discarded and left to die in a shelter while she was pregnant with these adorable puppies shows why all of us should support all the new laws regulating breeding. Obviously, there are far too many dogs being pumped out by greedy breeders when as wonderful a dog as Angel and her nine babies could wind up in a shelter where they would have died if we had not been there to save them - just as that happens every day for the millions of other wonderful beloved dogs of all breeds and mixes.

Every life is precious and should be valued and protected. Until the news laws are fully enacted and the greedy breeders stopped, this sad situation will continue where precious lives are at risk and unless we rescuers come to their aid, they are and will continue to be lost every day! All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, de-wormed, and are treated with Advantix for fleas and ticks. They are also micro-chipped.
