More About **URGENT** Wilson
Wilson has had better picture days than this. He's a late riser with a bit of 'bed head'. Wilson came to the shelter as a stray. Wilson is estimated to be about 2 years old. Wilson is very friendly and would do well in a family setting. Wilson is up to date on his vaccinations with the exception of rabies. Wilson has been with us for quite some time and it is definitely time for him to go to his forever home!
SPCA of NENC will adopt to approved applicants either North Carolina residents or non-residents.
To adopt, please bring your current ID. If you rent, please bring the rental agreement that shows the pet clause and proof that the deposit was paid, or a letter from your landlord that you are allowed to have a pet. If you have other pets in your home, you MUST bring proof that they are up to date on their shots (Bordatella, Distemper/Parvo, and Rabies).
It also helps if you bring your pet (dog) with you to see if he/she is compatible with the pet you are looking to adopt.
Our adoption fees are as follows:
Dogs altered - $60, Dogs not altered - $45
Cats altered - $45, Cat not altered - $30
Adoption fees cover their first round of shots, not including Rabies, first month of flea and tick prevention and their first month of heartworm preventative (dogs).
Spay/Neuter vouchers will be given to those adopting an unaltered pet. This voucher will cover approximately half the cost of the spay or neuter procedure. Voucher coverage varies according to sex and breed.
By adopting a pet from the SPCA of NENC, INC, you are agreeing to have the pet spayed/neutered as per Pasquotank County Ordinance. Failure to do this will result in a fine and confiscation of adopted pet.
PASQUOTANK COUNTY RESIDENTS: If you are adopting a dog and live outside Elizabeth City limits, you MUST purchase either a County dog license or a kennel tag (3 or more dogs) at time of adoption. Cost for a County Dog License is $15 per dog or a Kennel Tag is $20 for more than 3 dogs. Dog licenses are good for the life of your dog. Kennel Tags must be renewed each year (April) for $20. These can only be purchased from the SPCA.
