Fang was brought to the shelter on July 17, 2008 by his owners who didn't say why they were giving him up. Fang's coat was essentially one big mat when he came in, so much so that once he was shaved, it was discovered he had multiple skin irritations because of it. His skin is improving and Fang is adjusting to his new look, albeit temporary. Fang didn't initially like being picked up, but we think he may have been sore from so many tight mats next to his skin. He seems to have gotten over that now and really enjoys being held and petted. He will most likely require a daily brushing once his hair grows back in. Fang has a decent under bite, so his tongue is visible most of the time and he is a bit of a messy eater, but we think this makes him even more endearing. He has a very sweet disposition and a really big motor. Fang is one of those cats that once you get to know him, you're hooked, even if you aren't a Persian lover! Fang will soon be neutered and gets along with other cats.

The adoption fee for cats who were already altered when they arrived at the shelter is $35. For cats who were altered by the shelter after arriving, the adoption fee is $75 to cover the cost of their alteration.
