More About Sierra

SIERRA (aka Cassie) is an absolutely gorgeous Himalayan cat. According to Wikipedia, “The Himalayan, also called colorpoint Persian and colloquially referred to as Himmy, is a breed of cat with extremely long, fluffy fur, and the blue eyes and the points of a Siamese. The body of a Himalayan is white or cream, but the points come in many different colors: blue, brown, lilac, chocolate, flame, red and cream. The Himalayan cat has short legs which makes it harder for them to jump as high as other cats do. Also they have very round bodies and weigh around 13 pounds on average. These cats are sweet-tempered, intelligent and generally very social and good companions. Because of their heritage from the Siamese cats they tend to be more active than Persians.” Sierra couldn't’t fit the description of a Himalayan better. She has all the physical characteristics. And her eyes, she has the lightest baby blue eyes that shimmer with kindness. Her colors are primarily chocolate, cream, and brown and her round body seems to fluff out with her long sweeping fur.

Sierra is very personable which is what you would expect of a Himalayan. She’s got the greatest purr and is extremely friendly. It doesn't take long for her to learn to trust you and once she does her affections are insurmountable. She is a mellow cat and a bit on the quiet side. If the environment gets loud or chaotic she is known to take refuge in a quieter location. She’s just the kind of gal that prefers a more low-key environment. But make no mistake, when she’s feeling secure she’s warm and cuddly like a favorite teddy bear.

Sierra is ready for her forever home. This gorgeous cat will surely be a loving companion. Some say that brushing a soft cat is like getting a dose of therapy. Try brushing soft bushy Sierra for a few minutes and you will find it hard to dispute the theory.
