Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier [Mix]

I would see Rachel every time I went to the shelter. She would be lying down in the front of her cage with her paws hanging out of the cage door with her head resting on them with the most beautiful soulful eyes. They were haunting... I could not shake her image. If she could talk, I know she was making a plea for help. I put my name on her to let me know if she was headed to be put down. I got the call. When I got her out of her cage, she just was frozen in fear, laying down and shaking. I put her on my lap and she put her paws around my neck and clung on for safety. These are the dogs I love to rescue. She is in a loving foster home now with another dog... and is slowly learning to trust and play. She is only 16months old and is very petite for her breed. She weighs only 39lbs. She walks well on and off leash, LOVES the dog park and is currently living with a cat.
